i know that we need things for our buns to chew on so their teeth dont get too long or sharp but what is best? the wood stuff that can be bought in stores or is something home made would be better and what.

my kids loooove willow toys and apple sticks for chewing.   they also like baskets – but make sure to pick ones that are undyed and don’t have metal or glue.

they don’t seem to enjoy the flavored sticks and blocks from the stores very much

some of the favorites at my house for chewing:

willow ball (this is the largest size) https://www.binkybunny.com/SHOP/tabid/55/List/0/ProductID/15/Default.aspx
          willow tunnel  https://www.binkybunny.com/SHOP/tabid/55/CategoryID/3/List/0/Level/1/ProductID/10/Default.aspx

My girl really loves the sea grass mats, willow wreaths/rings/balls…anything she can get a hold of!

Though my bunnies love anything willow (untreated of course) Some of the homemade stuff you can provide includes cardboard boxes, and toilet paper tubes filled with hay.   My bunnies like to chew on phone books too!

My buns favorite things are grass mats taht I found at this place called "For Other Living Things" they are very hearty grass mats Also, any time I finish a TP or paper towel roll it goes right in the cage to get chewed! (and doesn’t last very long!) Willow is also very popualr in the house, Juli chewed on one side of her willow tunnel from busybunny until it fell on her!!

Willow balls and apple chews…can’t go wrong. Honestly, my bunny isn’t interested in the cute carrot looking wood chews that pet stores have. She always looks at me as if to say “riiight”. She also has a cardboard fetish. She loves to chew on cardboard. Anything cardboard. If you have an old phone book, that’s normally pretty popular too. My bunny attacked my bottom bookshelf so I gave her this old, crappy paperback to chew on. She kinda gets that that is her book to chew on and has torn it up.
