I think I just saw my rabbit sleep walking. He has a bedroom to himself, and he always sleeps with his eyes open. So, when I go in there, I talk to him to see if he responds. If not, I let him sleep. If so, I’ll hang out. (Normally, after stretching, he runs toward me, super excited.)

This morning, I walked in there and said hi. He stood up and turned around the opposite way of me and started walking. Then he saw his FAVORITE green towel, that he uses to snuggle/crawl under. It scared him to death! He tried to get away from it so quickly, he slide out on his side, knocked over his food bowl, and ran to a corner of the room. Then he approached his litterbox all slowly, sniffing to see what it was (he has had it for 2 years). He wouldn’t get in it. It too scared him.

Then, he turned and saw me sitting on the ground. He stomped and ran off (he isn’t a stomper).

This was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen a rabbit do! Was he sleep walking and still waking up? Has anyone else had a bun sleep walk? (He is good to go now, using the litterbox, running to me for pets, etc. I let him be for a while after all the drama, then checked on him.)

The super scary lime green towel on a different day. I thought it was funny that I had a photo of him cuddling with it

WOW! That’s interesting. I don’t know enough about buns to really comment on this. I’m interested to see what other people say about it. Sounds like sleep walking to me tho!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Sounds like a very sleepy bun who wasn’t quite ready to wake up. How cute. And how precious is he on that green towel!
