  Hey everyone. I am glad to be on the forums site and had a couple of questions for you in regards to the new baby rex rabbit I just bought from a reputable pet store. She is chillin happily I think in her new home but I was wondering if anyone here can give any advice on what to do to make her home a happy one. I have her in a good sized cage right now with food,salad treat and water. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance.

  Welcome to Binky Bunny!! Has your bunny got hay as well? If you read the diet tips at the top of this site you will see that bunnies need primarily hay to keep their digestive system going. Since your bunny is young, alfalfa hay and pellets are best, but once she gets to 6 months, then you need to switch to Timothy pellets and hay because alfalfa is too fattening for adult rabbits.
  
  Other than that, make sure you take plenty of time to pet and play with your rabbit. Let her have some time to run around and do binkies, baby bunny binkies are the best! Also, take some time to read all the information on the site, everything will be helpfl at one time or another, and finally, when your bunny is of age, make sure you take her to get spayed. It is very important for female bunnies to get spayed to prevent cancer.

  Welcome to BB melovia, brand-new bunny parent! Are you planning to litter-train her? This also makes us humans happier too as it makes clean up easy. If you are, what litter are you using and say, what kind of pellets are you feeding her? Are you planning on having her spayed when she is old enough? There is some great info already at your fingertips here, if you go to the top of the page and hover on “bunny info” you’ll get everthing you need to know about raising a house rabbit safely and happily. Of course ask away here all you want too! We love to help!

  I’ll echo the great suggestions by Moobunnay & Scarlet Rose. There’s lots of very helpful information in the bunny care section of the site that will give you more information about diet, litterbox training, behavior, toys, spaying and lots of other things that are important in giving your new bunny a happy and healthy home. I’d recommend spending some time reading more there and we’re all here to support you in helping you in the process.
