well, i'm very very very sad to say that we had to say goodbye to my sweet bunny Meg yesterday. She had another flare up of her e.cunniculi back in november and since then, she lost her rear limb movement and slowly got weaker until she lost a lot of weight and wasn't able to hold herself up anymore. So, as horrifically hard as it was, we made the decision to let her go. One of the hardest things I've done. I miss my girl already, but she lived a reeeally good long life. she was 7 1/2 years old and had, for the most part, a healthy life with no problems. I'm more worried about oliver (my other bunny who's 10 yrs old and in great health) and how he'll do, but he seems ok at this point. I'm starting to think that maybe he knew this was going to happen since she's been sick off and on for awhile. he's still eating and doing his usual stuff, so so far so good. My house just seems a little more empty without her. i had a really bad day yesterday, but today was a little bit easier and hopefully it will get even better.
sorry. just felt like i needed to share this with other bunny parents who know what it's like losing your babies.
