Hi I brought the panacur worming paste today. It says to give 1 Graduation per 2.5kg, my rabbit only weights 1.2kg.
What do people do in these cases as a Half is really hard to give!

        Cheers

I would call your vet and ask for instructions and dosage for administering it.

Ditto, the vet or nurses might be able to direct you, or the manufacturer.

I just dosed some of my rabbits with panacur but it was the liquid med. 1ml per 2 kg weight. But the rabbits were both under 2kg but vet still gave full 1ml as he said it has fairly safe margain. Not sure if that’s term he used…sorry.

I just found a similar question on UK forum.
Does the instructions you have say “1 graduation for rabbits up to 2.5 kg”?
If that is the case, then you would give the full graduation.
Of course, if in doubt- a quick call to your vet.

My vet wasn’t 100% sure as they only have the liquid also. I can’t even find anything on the packaging to tell me :s

Is it the ” Panacur Rabbit” product? 20mg/kg strength? The vet should have an idea from the strength. Perhaps ring another few vet offices. Some might sell the paste over the counter and be more familiar.

I saw pic of that product and see what you mean about the graduations. Even one grad looks tricky to me.

I’ve found the owner leaflet online for Panacur Rabbit.Hopefully this link works.

It has a table that specifies 1graduation for rabbits that are 1 – 2.5 kgs. So your guy can have the full amount.

                      Its the 18.75% oral paste.

I can try and do 1/2 a graduation but its bloody hard! All i could find is that the safety margin is high so overdoesing isnt a issue but wondered what people do.

Thats good to hear then that its up to 2.5kg, ill just continue on with that as its easier Thank you!
