i havent been around for awhile because my laptop would not allow BB to open.im lucky i got it to work tonight.

i started feeding my bunnies veggies religiously.i used to just give it to them 3-4 times a week but now they get it every night.Chace is 9 months old and he gets 5 leaves of romaine, half a cup collard greens,4 brussel sprouts and a tiny piece of banana.sometimes he gets cilantro, celery or baby dill instead of brussel sprouts.

Ninja is 2 1/2 months old and he gets 2 leaves of romaine,1/2 cup collard greens,2 brussel sprouts and a tiny carrot.

thats pretty much what ive been giving them.Chace gets 1/2 cup pellets and Ninja gets unlimited since he’s still a baby.

am i portioning their veggies and pellets right?i noticed that they eat more hay recently so i feel like i might be starving them.

What breed is Chace again? A Nethie?

I give Chacha 2 romaine leaves, and a small bunch of cilantro. It fills her up. I do give greens every night.

For a smaller size bunny, I would say a tablespoon is enough pellets. Bunnies really don’t need much pellets..

Hehe, many bunnies on BB are stuffing themselves with hay lately! Could it be the weather? Despite being indoors, I think rabbits are sensitive to the weather changes going on around ’em.. Like all animals, some tend to fill up more in the winter to keep nice and warm. My grandma’s cats are staying indoors more and stuffing their faces more often, lol

            Chace is a nethie.
they just all seem to be starving when i wake up. i dont know if theyre just tricking me into feeding them more.

Chace is not a big hay eater but lately ive been seeing him munching on a lot of hay.the other buns would eat a small oxbow bag in a day!i guess the season has something to do with it because they sure look like fatties!lol!

Yeah Smokey has been eating a LOT of hay since it’s gotten colder here. She usually chows down on it every day, but I see her go to her hay ray quite a lot more recently than in the warmer months.

Mine have also been eating hay like it’s their job, so maybe it is a weather thing.

I think you can definitely cut back on the pellets for your older bun – something less than 1/4c per day would be better I think.

My buns each get about 5-7 leaves of romaine and a 10-15 sprigs of parsley per day. I think you’re feeding a good amount of veggies.

Whenever I put Bing’s veggies down, I always worry I’m feeding too much because the pile is bigger than him! Last night he had four kale leaves, a head of broccoli, his favorite, and a small carrot. He is a small guy, but I’m still clueless as to his breed. The vet said he was a rex when he was a baby, but his size and fur now don’t resemble a rex.

i already started reducing Chace’s pellets so he would eat more veggies and hay.i think its working. its just that he stares at me a lot with his begging eyes.he would even lift his pellet bowl and toss it around to let me know its empty.

Be strong! I measure out the daily 1/8 cup amount so that I don’t go over (much). My bun does the same with his pellet dish……the (cute) little beggars!

my girls get 1/4 cup a day (if that!) and veggies about 3-4 times a week.. hay is pretty much unlimited (they might go without for a few hours cause they eat it so fast.

Veggies is normally : 2 romaine, 2 bok choy, a bit of carrot, maybe a grape, maybe some bean sprouts… ect.
