I have a 7 month old lionhead bunny.

We have a fraser fir Christmas tree and I didnt know if he is able to eat the needles? He enjoys going under the tree and playing.

        Thanks

        Elizabeth!

          Hi,

I’ve inserted a link above to the post in the Q&A section about Holiday questions. It is pinned with the thumbtack, which means it will stay at the top. They have the whole first paragraph devoted to trees and their hazards. Good reading.

Also, check out the House Rabbit Society’s website for addressing special seasonal issues. Off hand, I am not sure how much of a hazard pine tree needles may be, but a good rule of thumb is: when in doubt, don’t. Preventing your bunny from getting within a safe distance of your tree will avoid many types of hazards.

          Happy Holidays!
