Our two young (3 months) lop bunnies are awesome, and they are making progress with litter training but I need to keep them off our guest bed. Has anyone tried risers? I don’t have the budget for a loft and would rather not use an x-pen in the room. But I will if I need to sigh. Thanks for your help!

I haven’t personally, but it seems like a good idea. They may be able to jump up anyway, just be warned.

how about standing the bed upright against the wall? Or covering it in empty boxes/suitcases etc to make the landing area much higher? Covering it with something waterproof, like a cheap shower curtain, is another option, as long as they aren’t chewers

If they can jump on the bed at 3 months, by 6 months, I can’t see the risers stopping them. Pippi can clear 1 m when he wants, no problem, and can land in the middle of my quite high bed from the middle of the landing, clearing 3-4 m horizontally as well as the bed height. He has been known to hurdle the settee too.

Shutting the door to the guestroom is the only way of ensuring they dont get up on the bed (or is that the bunny room) ?
They will get up and over the risers if they so wish to. I had to modify my hand built patio fence twice because i thought i was calculating enough !!! ). Ha !!
If they have something to jump against they will boing even higher, like street jumpers !!
As a rough guess i would say a safe height is NO less that twice the buns EXTENDED length from toes to head.
