It’s been ages since I’ve posted here! I should keep up with this site more often because I’ve been reading through a few posts and learned a lot – and to think I already know all the important stuff!

Anyways, my reason for posting: My lil’ guy Moose has been head shaking at me recently and running away when I approach (unless I have food, it’s mostly when I want to pet him). I handled him every day right from the day I got him; just basic petting, letting him approach me first and reaching my hand out to him slowly so as not to startle him, but lately he’s been running away instead of accepting the love like he always used to. I should probably note that he’s 11 months old and unneutered, but his appointment fast approaches. I’m just curious if this is just a rowdy, “love” hungry male thing? Will it pass after his fix? Please send me your thoughts.

Sounds like he’s just full of energy. I’m assuming the head shaking is what I refer to as a “head binky” and Olivia will do that when she’s excited and trying to instigate play with the cat.
