You ever have an event or something in your day that triggers something in your dreams that night? Yesterday I was in my bedroom and I looked into the bunny room and Max was humping Meadow. Not a big deal, it happens often. Well... I go to bed last night and I had a strange dream. I guess Max humping my girl put this in my subconscious somehow.
In my dream, we took in a stray cat. Now I don't have anything AGAINST cats. I will pet other people's cats, I think they are cute... they are just not for me. So it was strange in itself that we took in this cat. Now Max was fascinated by the cat. He would follow her around, try to play with her, hump her from time to time. Max is such a cautious guy as it is, I was happy he was coming out of his shell a little bit. Some time passes. I go in the bunny room and there are two little white things behind the pen. I move the pen and pick them up... NEWBORN BABY BUNNIES! But wait... one has loppy ears, one has triangular, pointy ears. AND A CAT FACE. I freak out. The eyes are still closed on the baby bunny, but the "cat bunny's" eyes are open and it has slitty cat eyes.
[FREAKY.]
I call the woman who I adopted Max from. I am NOT happy: "I THOUGHT HE WAS NEUTERED!" She says, he is. I told her what happened. She says that she's seen this before. Neutering a rabbit only protects it from impregnating other bunnies, not other species. The cat bunny lives for a few days and then it dies. I call her back and she says that she expected that would happen. The baby bunny thrives. We spay the cat and this never happens again...

BEKA! What is truly weird is Allenj posted about a dream of another bunny and having a matching pair that reminded her of yours. Then I posted about Cabbits - a "supposed" cat/rabbit hybrid. Then you post about having a dream about your bun mating with a cat and having....well a CABBIT! Spooky!
If neutered buns could impregnate other species???! OMG What trouble! |

I know Jerseygirl. That is what was especially strange. I woke up this morning (my intial reaction to the dream was pretty much... wtf? lol) and I knew I HAD to post it on BB. I was checking the other forums first and I clicked on the Lounge and first saw allen's thread, then your thread. Very, very spooky!
It's very scary to think about buns impregnating other species. Turtle buns, dog buns, bird buns (yikes!), iguana buns...
They'd all be referred to as "designer pets" and probably worth a lot of money and NO ONE would be able to care for them properly. |

DON'T even say PUG! LMAO!
My best friend has a pug puppy. When she first got her, she had no idea what to name her. I started calling her Baby Punny (Punny = Pug + Bunny). And the name has STUCK. She has a real name (Alex) but anytime she comes over the house, we call her Punny. She is a HANDFUL! She's still young, only about 5 months... but yeah, she is pretty wild.
here is the Punny standing on my coffee table on Xmas... wearing a dress.

Turtle buns! ^^ hehe! Not hard to imagine what the meatloaf pose would look like! I remember my neice, when really young used to think there were turtledogs. She misheard Turtle Doves from song "12 days of Christmas".
Psst Beka? It's okay, you won't need to become advocate for these poor designer pets, but it's good that you care!

All this talk about cabbits...I don't know if y'all have too much reproduction on the brain or if someone's slipping something in your coffee...lolz. j/k Good grief, Beka, a dream like that would probably send me to the mental hospital gibbering...I just wouldn't want anything that freaky to happen concerning my bunnies! 0_o Actually, and I'm thinking WAAAY back now...years ago there was this news story about a cabbit. It had the front end of a cat and the back end of a rabbit...seriously it was LIVE on the news! I remember it was mostly white with broken orange coloring. It could've just been a cat with a bad hind end or something (it made the most pitiful noise, like it was in pain) but as an impressionable young child, I honestly thought it was real and I remember feeling incredibly sorry for it. Supposedly it had been bred by some farmer and it was also supposed to be sterile, so no more would be born...but I dunno. It was on some news show that was pretty credible too.... (I lived in the Bay Area at the time.) I guess just about anything is possible...but this goes along the lines of animals with two heads or five legs and such. I don't think it's meant to be, and even if it was, I would hope it wouldn't be real because I will never get the sound of that poor cat (or whatever it was) out of my mind. |

Yup. ^_^ That pic has been on my desktop for a few days...fooled everyone in the house with it till they got a good look at it. xD And yes, that would be Ryo-Ohki that Markus posted about. I have a few plush of him. He's adorable! The blonde cabbit is Ken-Ohki, Ryo's bf, I think. ^_^ But no, the little Photoshopped pic of the kitten with the bunny ears looks nothing like the cabbit I remember seeing. What I saw would've been a cat from the front...but it's back legs moved more like a rabbits hind end does....that's why it was so sad to see. You could tell it hurt him/her to walk. |
