        Hello,

My name is Shannon. I am a Canadian who cannot stand to see rabbits die (well any animal die for that matter) This post about the 69 rabbits being seized was posted on a vegan site that I am a member of and I am wondering if there is anyone out there that can help?   The link to the news article is below. Now I imagine that 69 rabbits are a lot for an animal control to handle and I would imagine that they would euthanize some of them because of lack of room. They are mostly Dutchies, and the lady was letting them breed. Adoption will be fifteen dollars.

The adoption fee is $15. Officials encourage local residents to make sure their landlords allow pets in their buildings, and that all pets be kept up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.

The center is located at 120 N. County Farm Road. Adoption hours are Monday and Thursday from noon until 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from noon until 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Further information is available at http://www.dupageco.org/animalcontrol, or by calling 630-407-2800.

There is more information. Is there a rabbit rescue agency able to take care of this? I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada so I can only do limited things.

          Shannon

            Hi Shannon

I have a rabbit shelter and am in Edmonton….I’m confused about where these rabbits were seized-what city/province? Let me know I’d love to help if we can! (…specially since I have a soft spot for dutchies)
