Well, the boyfriend has indeed come home with the teeniest tiny little ginger Lionhead. ARGHHH!!!! We're are now of course arguing over names. I chose Brian so he feels it's his turn to choose baby girl's name, however if I leave it up to him she'll be called Wendy after his grandma or Terri after his mum. , myself like Lily but he will just disagree with whatever i say on purpose...
ANY "outside" suggestions would be most welcome and much appreciated!!!!

I always give my bunnies real people names...one of my favorites is Susan I just adopted out a pair of bunnies named Nick and Susan and people always thought I was talking about a human couple when I talked about them! |

My last dwarf lop's name was Lily ... I named her after a great aunt on my Mum's side of the family. I also like these names for girly bunnies: Missy, Peggy, Lotty, Rosie, Milly (generally the names I like end in Y) |

Decided against Lily as a pet rat of mine was Lily.... we went through magazines, cd's, tv credits, you name it, i think he got fed up after a while of hearing me shout numerous suggestions from the bath, we agreed on a couple, yet nothing sounded quite right (if you know what i mean). On the way to work this morning we both unanimously decided on Bettie Bean. She's so tame, and so weeny. Brian seemed a bit put out by strange scents wafting around, but knowing how he loves his head rubbed, each time I handled Bean, i then rubbed Bum's head and he no longer seemed to find the scent a threat. He was overly cuddly in the night, and sat looking at himself in the mirror this morning. My boy!
Here's the Bean (not a great pic as was taken on phone)..

I like the B sound too, my name is Betsy (and I get called Bettie by many a confused person). Congrats on the new baby, thats really cute that your boyfriend brought her home! Were you planning on getting a companion for Brian? (Haha, I just realized that me and my BF are Brian and Betsy..we almost match your bunnies!) Or was it a spur of the moment decision? |

Brian & Betsy!! Ace... me and mine are SS... Scott & Susannah, bit of a bugger introducing ourselves after a few beverages *spit spit*. We had been thinking about a friend for the Bum for a while, but kept putting it off, & he decided that he wouldn't get another one unless they had the ginger one I'd seen the week before. He said the ginger one had gone, then turned up with Bean cleverly disguised as some bread & crumpets. She's very friendly too, and was leaping about the living room yesterday, launching off the rug into skids across the laminate floor, and already comes when you call (definitely hand reared I think). Mr Bum showed his displeasure at his Ma smelling of Bean yesterday, sprayed right up the side of me!!! |

That pic is sooo cute!! What a sweetie. You know whats super funny? When my boyfriend brought home OUR new teeny baby (even the same color as yours) we named her Nilla as in Nilla wafer - but now because her boyfriend is named Marteen, we call her Nilla BEAN! Our little buns must have ancestors that are related |

moobunnay... Nilla Wafer!!! what a top name!!
And it's good news..... The Bumstar & Beanage met for the first time "properly" last night, and it's amazing how lively Bum has become since. I was a bit worried at first as he seemed to be quite offended by the smells of another fluffball in his home, and took himself off under the bed . But since they interacted quite "bunnylike" last night he keeps appearing at the living room door. It was a good job us adults were about to supervise, I can tell you! Bean is definitely a little flirt, nuzzling her way under Brian's chin, then racing off binkying as she goes. Honestly I have NEVER seen so many binkies in one go!
Here's a couple more pics of the Bean

How cuuute!! I'm so glad they are getting along well..the Bumstar and the Beanage...hahahahaha Nilla Wafer and Marteen are getting along much better now as well. At first Marteen had an almost mechanical hump reaction, he'd hump from her butt all the way up to her head, the stop, turn around, and hump from her head down to her bum :o needless to say she was not so impressed with him. Now though, they enjoy sleeping together in their willow tunnel all day long. Ah, young bunny love! |

hehehe Marteen! Another top name!!!
...it has come about in the last couple of weeks (and don't ask why ) that I actually am quite QUITE taken by Leland (Dog the Bounty Hunter's taut, tanned, gorgeously tattooed offspring), and it is a name that should be hollered through my household daily, so I'm either going to have to have me a son (not on your nelly) or get another pet!! Although the downfall being, living in dear ol' Blighty people will think i've named said potential Leland after a truck (Leyland Daf..rather than Leeeeeeeland)..
anyway, back on topic..Bettie Bean gets her vaccinations tonight, my poor little girl. My god she is a proper handful for such a weeny. Her & the Bum have spent a bit more time together, although all he wants to do is sniff her, try to mount her then sit on my lap, and all she does is squeeze under his chin, stop with her fluffbum in his face, then run off. And where does she run straight to?........the bedroom (which is where Bumstar calls home), and the cheeky beast has discovered that if she nips my big toe as i sit cross legged in the doorway I'm automatically going to lift up my knee and THROUGH SHE RUSHES..straight into his cage. OUT!!!!!! |

Hahaha aren't the teenies so smart? My foster babies "Big Baby and Teeny Baby" are just the same way. They have discovered that a quick nip to my toe gets them all the attention they need. They also like to strrrrrretch their heads to poke over the top of the cage and then make sweet bunny faces at me until I hop in the pen with them and let them climb all over me! |
