I was talking earlier about my rabbit named Lady at the HS who cries and bites. I have been working with her for 3 weeks now. I get her out and we play and we sit and I pet her.

Well, she went to her forever home yesterday! Yeah!!!

It was kinda funny because the people working there said she was doing better because we moved her into a larger cage. She was in a normal size bunny cage and we moved her into one that had two levels. She loved it! But, I know that working with her three times a week helped. I got her to come out of the cage on her own and would sit petting on her. She was scared at first but warmed up to me and looked forward to her time out.

On Monday they took Buddy (english spot) from the shelter to be on display at the petsmart. He was so unsure of himself, obvious he had never really been allowed out of his cage so I am beggin for him to come back so we can work with him.

Seeing Lady go home just made my day today! I know I had a part in that and it feels great! lol

Now all we have is Chase a beautiful black/white dutch mix and the babies mom named Fergie.

            Yah!!!

Isn’t it just the greatest feeling when one goes home?  Luckily they have fairly short memories, so she will soon forget all about the shelter.  Great job in socializing her, it makes such a difference for an adopter to see an animal that interacts and is not terrified of people.

YEAH! That’s wonderful, and though the bigger cage may have helped, I have no doubt that it was your attention and care that made more sociable and therefore more likely to find a forever home. That’s wonderful! Do you know who adopted her? Not the names or anything, but a family or ?.

                      lol

You know, they adopted her out yesterday afternoon and no one broke down her cage. I thought we had lost her! I couldnt find her and panicked.

We of course screen everyone and there is a paper on who took Lady but I didnt get a chance to see who it was. Hopefully the paper will be there Friday and I can take a peek.

I mentioned this in another post but this has to be one of the most rewarding "jobs" i have ever had!
