My bun is presently having a field day in my bedroom.. ie. running, jolting around the hamper in circles, hiding under my dresser. I cannot get him back in his cage for the life of me. He’s around 2 months old and cute as pie. How do I get him back in without getting scratched to death when I pick him up?

What I did when Atti got lose the first day was to block off anywhere he could get behind. Like put stuff in his way so he’ll have to be out in the open. Then if he’s under the dresser, put some pellets (atti loves pellets) around the floor or whatever makes your Oli have a field day!
When he comes out, quickly block off the dresser area.
Now that Oliver will be in an open area, you can easily sit down and wait for him to come up to you.
Atti’s area is 1/2 of my room, so when he got out the first day I just moved the fence so he could easily be corraled in.

Ahhh! He’s finally back in the hutch. I had to get my boyfriend in to grab a better hold of him. He scooped him right up and in the hutch he went We’re devising a plan now for future explorations with Oliver. We’re going to work on bunny-proofing the room before hand. That way Oli doesn’t lead us on another chase. Thanks!

You can always lure him with treats or pellets if you have to… most rabbits respond to the sound of pellets hitting the bowl or the treat box rattling!

if it’s an emergency (like you have to leave immediately and you can’t catch him) you could also *lightly* drop a *small* blanket or towel over him. that should stop him in his tracks. and then as time goes on, start working with a code phrase (like “go home Oliver”) and lure him back with treats.

                  welcome here.
