So Felony loooooves to eat paper. It’s the only thing he’ll chew on. I’ve bought toys, but he loves paper. And not just any paper, paper that comes from law school. If I have notes, or an open book, he chomps. I gave him a giant phone book to do with as he pleases….instead he’s eaten half the cover off my Federal Rules of Civil Procedure book…Is this okay or do I need to take his ‘toys’ away from him?

I don’t know what dyes were used in the book, but some dyes are not good and can cause digestive upset.

Phone books are okay – too bad he’s not interested.  Maybe hide a treat in the pages.

Maybe it’s the quality of the paper?  Phone book paper really is different from note paper.  Sable loves paper too and especially the paper I have printed knitting patterns on.  Most of my patterns and pattern books now have little nibble marks on them.  Like Felony, he’s not so interested in phone books though newspaper is fine with him.

I have given him  a crumpled sheet of blank paper or a printout that I no longer need to give him something to occupy his time while I try to work.  Cardboard is also acceptable to him in place of book covers.  I had to move all of my books from the lowest shelf on my book case in the living room.

Bunnies  …. you gotta love ’em!

We keep a little pile of stuff in our living room for the buns. There are two little baskets, phone book and several blank sheets of paper. They love to chew on the paper the best. Kinda funny to watch. They aren’t big fans of cardboard but they do chew on the TP rolls. There is a stack of magazines behind a chair they like to rip apart but they don’t eat it so we keep blank paper on hand just so they aren’t getting a bunch of dye in their systems.

Well I’m glad to know that my baby isn’t the only paper shredding monster from hades….Right now he’s sitting inside the cardboard tube I bought him that he refuses to chew on, eating a piece of paper. I suppose it’s a good thing I didn’t need that scheduling information anymore…He’s so bad!!!
