I have a 7 month old male and a 2 year old female that I finally managed to bond very recently. They are sleeping near each other and eat with each other but my female seems to still be skittish towards my male when he happens to come up behind her. My question is, will this nervousness eventually go away? Is she afraid of him? Or is she remembering the past when she was mated?
Yes, they are both altered and he doesn't mount her....it's more like sniffing or grooming. She really doesn't like him near her backside. I'm hoping they will work this out, maybe he'll learn to not sneak up on his lady! I know I'm not too fond of that either!
This problem has seemed to be have disappeared!!!! YAY! Apparently, this was their way of adjusting to each other and Joey has learned that her butt is off limits. They are getting along beautifully! I couldn't be happier!
