Jessica has begun overnites w/ the cats.  She is now allowed to roam freely w/ the kitties at night.  She LOVES it!!!!!!  She maintains free access to her cage at all times.

She now leaves the comfort of her living room and likes roaming the long hallway.  Actually she enjoys running like a goomba in the hallway.  Last night I caught her cuddled w/ my youngest cat Wolfgang.  I don’t think she wanted that secret to get out.

I never thought that cats and bunnies could live together in peace.

Yep, some bunnies absolutely love cats.  Here is a cute video of Sally, a shelter cat that loves rabbits.  She found her forever home in February, not sure if there are bunnies with her now or not:

There is one big lazy cat at the shelter that would rather hang out with the buns than the other cats.  Apparently the other cats pick on him, so he comes over to the bunny pens and lies next to the bars .

And there is a girl on alt.pets.rabbits that has a large bun and 2 cats, and they are great friends.  They will come into bun’s cage and nap on the shelves, and they will all poke each other like kids in bunk beds.

There was a cat that just lounged and explored at the HRS in Richmond.  Can’t remember his name right now, Blue maybe.  Anyway, he was so easy going with the rabbits.  Don’t know if he’s still there or not.  It’s been over a year since I’ve been to that chapter.

I love to see when other animals can get along.  And I know that the HRS has articles about introducing cats and dogs to rabbits.   I’m always worried about a cat’s sharp nails scratching a bunny even in play and causing an abscess.  It really is all about the individual nature of each of the animals which will determine if they can peacefully live together.  Sounds like you really have it made with your happy crew.

hmmm.. this gives me an idea for a new post.
