Okay, I feel like a kid at Christmas!!
Tonight Flopsy, my female, FINALLY, Groomed Carmel,my male!!! I was feeling so frustrated today because Carmel and Flopsy didn't do well last night in an area I had enclosed for them! All day I had to keep seperating them. Then tonight, when I was seting up yet another area to accomodate them. I looked over and Flopsy finally gave in a groomed Carmel. He actually stopped humping her and they were just hangin'!! Baby steps I know, but I'm still soo happy that this might really work!!
Hey, I had them seperated today. I've gone and put together a condo for Carmel. Flopsy has her corner in the kitchen uncaged as she has full run of the house. I liked the large enclosure I set up, except that it meant that Flopsy had to be caged. She's not used to that. So I've gone and just put Carmel in the condo. Flopsy goes over and visits.
I didn't put them together last night as the night before didn't go soo well. Carmel just can't stop humping it seems. Even after Flopsy grooms him he keeps trying to mount her. I'll put a little video from this evening on youtube.
Any insight as to what I should be doing at his point would be greatly appreciated, as I've never bonded rabbits before and I'm hoping I'm not making any mistakes as I go along. thanks guys.
