We had an adoption show at For Other Living Things on Saturday, so of course I came home with new bunny toys.  The first one is a new unpeeled willow hidey house from Busy Bunny.  This one is popular, both for chewing and for going in and out of.  Here is a picture of it from the Busy Bunny website:

The other one is a new product from Oxbow.  It is a small tunnel made out of spun Timothy hay.  I thought that they would love chewing this thing, but they have barely touched it.  Here is a picture:

I went to a Pet Expo last year, and Oxbow was there promoting – they had brought one of those timothy tunnel things, they found it at a bunny show in Japan (accoring to Oxbow, the Japanese had all kinds of cool bunny things!) – Bri and I were just dying for one but at the time they hadn’t started producing them…I think I may have to buy one for me and Brian

We bought one of the Willow Hidey Houses for our buns. THey love on it and chin it but thats it. Pookie is the only one who can comfortably fit in it. The rest look at it as an odd building. Im thinking of turning it so that the top opening is on the side and the side door is on the top. Maybe the bigger buns would be more interested in it if it was turned that way.

My Cottontail cottages are still the hit. We have one on the basement that is about to have a serious structural problem from floor chewing and then one in the dining room that they all use as well but for whatever reason seem to want to keep this one nice. So no one actually chews on it. Maybe they know that is the one our “guest” see when they come over so they keep it nice? lol

And a close second has and always will be our Cement Tunnels behind the couch. I have two levels of them so they can go thru the top tunnel, jump to the bottom level and run back thru it. I cram newspaper back there to give them something extra to mess with. They make a lot of noise running in it but they love it.
