So, I would like everyone to know that I’m a big dork:
Last weekend I had photo xmas cards made up at Walgreens…Starring the infamous trio.

Does anyone else do this?  All of the cards but one have been sent out to friends and family as of yesterday.  (I wanted to keep one for myself)

Last Year’s Christmas card was of the Sophie bunny lying on the tree skirt checking on a wire of lit colored lights. (Don’t worry, I got the wire out of her mouth before she zapped herself but it was too cute to pass up). The way I look at it is this: if my college roomates and cousins can send me a gazillion phot christmas cards of their kids (who are so not as cute as my baby bunny) then i can send them a pic of my baby!
However, I went with the “normal” (aka boring) christmas cards this year. The photographer in me just wasn’t active.

I would have done cards with our kids if we’d been actually organized!

I also didn’t find any cute bunny cards to buy either.  My sister and I are using Snapfish to make a 2007 calender of our pets for my parents. 🙂 it’s pretty neat since you can even add photos and text to dates.

Hareiette had a friend help her make this cute vitual Chanukah greeting though 🙂

The people on alt-pets-rabbits do a big annual card exchange – including our international members – so I did a special card just for that.  The artist is a woman I know online from the livejournal bunnyowners group – she’s an art student who does pet portraits to make money for art supplies.  I paid her a bit more than her going rate because I was very specific about the design elements I wanted.  I added the lettering and border, and printed them up on nice deckle-edged cardstock.

Cool!  I’d like to make a calendar too, but I already heard from  my brother (big mouth) that I’m getting a calendar for Xmas.

Oh, wow, Wendyski!  At first I didn’t even realize that the bunny was a sketch!  It looks real!

                      Isn’t it great!

The artist’s name is Sara Martin.  If anyone wants her contact info, drop me a message  – she does great work.  She did the sketch from a couple of photos I e-mailed her.

here is some more of her work

Wow, great ideas!  Love everyone’s images!   I have a funny Christmas picture that I took with my bunnies a few years ago at the House Rabbit Society in Richmond, ca.   They had a little sleigh that you could put your bunnies in.  SO cute.  It was a hard  copy though, so I have to scan it in to make it digital.

ha…we need someone to represent the bunnies from other religions! where’s the atheist, the presbyterian, the protestant, the catholic, the muslim, the buddhist?

Well since I am agnostic (the "I don’t know" belief)   I’d just have a big question mark on my card.   Not very exciting I"m afraid.    And I have no idea what my bunnies believe in.  They won’t tell me. I"ll have to sneak in their pen  and read their diaries.

Another agnostic here, with leanings towards atheism, I like to stick to the secular "Season’s Greetings" though I’m not opposed to saying "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hannukah" or "Happy Chrismukah"

AH Huh.  And so it is revealed, some of us actually watch the O.C.   I’ve actually missed quite a few since Narissa/Marissa? died.  and the last one had Ryan dating the girl that originally annoyed everyone.  What is going on?!!  Hey, has anyone seen the new show Ugly Betty?

Sorry to disappoint, not an OC watcher.  I don’t know where I got it from originally but my use of Chrismukah predates the OC.  This year I expanded it a bit to Kwanzachrismukah.

.. there’s always "Festivus for the rest of us" (Seinfeld fan here)

Actually, I’m quite happy it’s NOT an OC refernece. I do not watch that show… I know about “chirsmukah” because of the commercials and because of everyone else’s buzz. I think I tried to watch an episode during their first season.. but it was depressing because I could feel my brain cells die…

Yay Festivus! So you have the whole dinner tradition and stuff??

I’ve seen Ugly Betty, but only because it’s on right before Grey’s Anatomy. SERIOUSLY. Anyone watch Grey’s?

Uh, oh well it looks like I’ve exposed my dead brain cell pile up.  My other job is in  broadcast. (though for the last year, I have been wiggling my way out into the things I enjoy more – After 13 years, I’m sick of it)  And most of the time I am so horribly sick of it I can’t stand to watch TV, but when I do watch, I just don’t want any brain cells to have to get up and move around.

It’s an embarrassing existence in television viewing. I lower my head full blown shame.  Oh, speaking of full blown embarrassing shame.  Anyone watch Desperate Housewives?
