I read so many volunteers or rescues dealing with bun buns. I was wondering if there's anyone in Florida? I want to help out but the 3 big rabbit rescues are atleast 1 hour away: Orlando, Tampa and Miami which I think Miami is closed now. But I'm smacked dab in the middle. My vet said there are a few of her clients that do unofficial bun rescues but I figured I'd ask here first.
Yes, there are! I don't know how close you are to Tallahassee, but there's one here called TLC rabbit rescue. That's where we got our buns from.
Also, I'm pretty sure there's one in Gainesville, too, I remember seeing that when I was looking at getting a bun. I'll see if I can find what it's called...
Here are a couple of more ideas. This site gives a very good list of rabbit rescues, see if there is one nearby.
Go to Petfinder and/or Pets911 and put in your zip code to see what rescues and shelters are nearby.
House Rabbit Society has a list too.
