I have a cottontale cottage, which is really similar and it's very popular at my house and among many bunnies I know :-) I bet your kids would love one! |

That's awesome. Back in the day, we used to construct our own cardboard box houses, with scissors, masking tape, and old boxes. Sometimes they would get as big as 7'x7' at least, until we decided to throw them out to start new ones. And they would have multilevels, ramps, doors and windows. And skylights. I wish I had a pic to show you guys, but that was pre-digital camera time for me! Maybe someday we'll build another one. We just stopped because they take up so much room. |

Woah, I would love to try doing something like that. So your buns didn't try to chew the masking tape off or anything? 7' X 7' is gigantic! Floppy would love something so large to conquer, though little Seamus likes to stay low to the ground =) That is awesome, Theresa! |

Hi guys, I know this post is pretty old, but I was just going through some old pics from when I first got my camera last xmas, and found some pix of the cardboard houses I was talking about!
Hugo next to it
Bungee & Hugh playing in it
Sorry but those 2 were all I found at the moment! I didn't even think I had any pics from those days!

Yeah, they had fun while it lasted! Maybe sometime in the future we will build another, but right now I like not having a huge obstruction in my living room! |

my cottontale cottage is about 8 months old and has survived three bunnies who play in it daily. they really do enjoy it and it seems worth the price considering the amount of fun they get out of it. so many bunny toys at my house don't make it a month, let alone 8! |

That looks fun! But I don't think I would actually pay for something like that! |

You can always make a box bungalo. Did you ever make the "boredom buster box" from the toytest? |

I spent DAYS lovingly crafting a huge cardboard box castle for Brian, it had different levels, slot in bowl bits for food, a turret, nice "carved" windows, and church window style doors. opening into the "garden room". He was NOT interested...... not one bit. I think he chewed the bottom of one door, and that was it. He managed to chew through 2 bra straps tho, oh he thoroughly enjoyed that!!

ooo noo, I can't believe he wasn't interested in it :-( Can you try putting hay and / or treats in it to help pique his interest? ooo boy on the bra straps, bunnies are so funny! |

Our local HRS donated a Vacation Villa which is a Cottontail knockoff. Either way the shelter buns love it!
I keep saying I am going to get one for my buns but I worry they wouldnt care since they have a few levels in their own cube houses.
