Help! Got a cat, bonded rabbits started fighting

I have 2 male holland lops, Thor and Kirby. Both are around 5 months. I got them both together when they were young, and they’ve been best friends. However, I got a cat about a week ago, and the day after I got the cat, they started fighting. The cat is the only thing that has changed, so I’m guessing that is what brought on the fighting. 
I have them separated now, the cages are connected, but they can’t fight each other through them. I am switching the buns between cages. I’ve tried reintroducing them, with no luck. Now neither buns are neutered yet. I’ve booked them an appointment, but its 3 weeks away. Will I have to wait until after they are neutered to try bonding them again? Since they were bonded before. I wanted them to go to the vet and get it done together, so they could support each other  
I’m a very sad and stressed bunny mom  it breaks my heart that they’re fighting! Any advice?

Yes you have to wait till they are neutered – the cat may have been the one to pull the trigger but it was already loaded – two male rabbits will fight if not neutered and bonded. A baby bond is NOT a bond. Baby bunnies will take to any other baby bunny – but once maturity hits between 4-6 months hormones take over, it is not sae to have two undesexed and unbonded bunnies together from 12weeks of age.

Wait till they are neutered then prebond then bond.
You will probably need to hit the reset button by moving them right away from each other so they forget each other until a month after neuter then move cages near each other after that month.
If you don’t they may never bond as they hold grudges

Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. But now I have another issue! I live in a basement apartment, and the only windows I have are in the living room. So if I put one bun in a different room, it would be a room with no windows, and I’d rather not do that. I can put the bunnies on opposite sides of the living room, but when I let one out, they’d be able to hop over to the other bunny’s cage. Is there anything I can do? 
If you think completely separating them will help, I want to do that, but I’m not sure how without putting one in a room with no windows >.>

You could put a pen around the cage so when one bun is roaming, the other can’t get near the other one’s cage.
