  I am thinking about adopting a semi brain damaged rabbit.The rabbit can see, hear, and walk but you could walk up to it for the first time and it will just lay there, it is not very responsive. I have a female rabbit that is somewhat aggresive and territorial, she likes to be dominant. I was just wondering if any of you could predict how my rabbit would <g class="gr_ gr_1191 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="1191" data-gr-id="1191">react,</g> if she would be happy because she was sort of automatically dominant or if she would just beat him up. If anyone has had a similar experience, a dominant rabbit with a more submissive one, would you tell me how bonding went? Also, I am going to take my rabbit on a date with this one and would just want to estimate her reaction so that the other rabbit doesn't get hurt.<br>

  In my opinion, it doesn’t sound like a good idea. One clearly has the advantage. It actually seems quite cruel to me. Taking a brain damaged animal for an aggressive female just so she could be “automatically dominant” sounds absolutely horrible to me. That poor bun. It doesn’t seem fair at all. It can’t defend itself from your aggressive female. I think it would do the rabbit more harm than good

  I think that rabbit (the brain-damaged/injured one) would be best off with someone who’s experienced in caring for “special needs” bunnies. The rabbit in question might do very well with a bondmate, but one that’s very gentle in temperament, not that particular one (the aggressively dominant female).

  I have read before that pairings like one clever, one stupid rabbit don’t tend to work, as the stupid one gets bullied. I imagine with one brain-damaged bunny and one very dominant one it would be the same sort of situation.
  
  I think your rabbit would do better with another confident bun that she couldn’t bully. I have a very territorial and aggressive female, but she is slowly coming round to my calm friendly boy.
