Help! I am very worried for my new rabbit who has been experiencing strange symptoms such as a runny nose, lethargic behavior, and sticky stool. She is eating and drinking perfectly fine, though she does spend the majority of her day lying down seemingly not wanting to move very much. She has recently been in contact with a lot of bunnies, and I am concerned that if this is serious then they could become sick as well.

You’ll need to see a vet. Runny nose could be an infection. Sticky stool could be the result of diet or the beginnings of GI stasis.

Can you inform everyone of your rabbit’s diet and daily routine in terms of activity?

Her nose is not looking good. Sticky poop can have lots of reasons but when a bun is ill, its tummy tend to react. This nose should be seen by a vet. This probably requires oral antibiotics (Baytril is commonly prescribed). A bunny should only breathe through its nose, so thick snot is very uncomfortable for them. A vet might want to prescribe an antiinflammatory as well, and perhaps a decongestant. How is her breathing? Do you hear any wheezing? How old is your bun?
