I’m wondering if it’s ok for an 8week old bunny to start taking vitamins for fur etc. Please let me know what you guys think.

I don’t see the point – if he’s getting a suitable diet he shouldn’t need vitamin supplements.

I agree with Sarah. What brand pellets (if any) are you feeding your bun? Oxbow’s young-rabbit and adult-rabbit pellets are fortified with trace nutrients needed by/good for your rabbit, and if you feed the specified quantities to your bunny, you really don’t need any additional supplements.

Bunnies make their own vitamins too. ie Cecals/cecatropes.

What kind of bunny do you have, magicpeach? Were you thinking to give something like the Oxbow supplements for Skin and Coat?

At 8 weeks old, their gut is still going through some changes and it is best to keep the diet very simple. HAY, good quality pellets and water. Very small portions of a treat, nothing too sugary.

He will be a mini lop! And yes I was thinking the oxbow for skin and coat. I’ll probably wait then. Thank you
