Hey guys! My name is Bogi, and I got my tiny dwarf bunny, Móki, 2 months ago. Im not only a first time bunny owner, but a first time pet owner too. Shes an adorable baby girl, bringing so much joy to my every day life. This forum saved me from so much stress, I have yet a lot to learn about bunnies.

During these months, we have never spent more than a few hours apart, she loves to take naps on my belly, loves to cuddle up at nights and play together. So overall, she is really attached to me, and so am I to her. But the time has come when I need to leave her for 4 days, because I am travelling. I am not worried about her wellbeing, because my sisters and mom will take care of her, will give her food, clean her potty etc. But I am just scared she will miss me, or forget me. I dont want to break her tiny heart.

What if she will be too sad? I try to learn a lot about bunnies behaviour, but I really dont know how will she react. Is she going to still love me when Im back? Whats the best way to cheer up a bunny? What could I do to make these few days easier for her? Overall… what can I expect, what will happen?

Please help out a worrying bunny mom.

Aw she’s adorable! And it sounds like you both have a very special bond She may well be a bit miffed but she certainly won’t forget you, nor will it break your bond. It just might take a few days after your return for her to go back to normal if she’s especially annoyed On the other hand, she might be thrilled to have you back and immediately go back to snuggling!

I had to be away from my rabbits for a week or so and they were absolutely fine when I got back. I did leave a shirt of mine in their favourite sleeping spot so they had my scent so you could try that but you’ll be fine either way

If your mom and sisters are there I wouldn’t be too worried. Since she’ll still be in a familiar environment, she won’t get too stressed.

Your bunny is WAY too cute!!! Those little legs!!!!!! I don’t think I’d be able to leave her easily either!!!! I’m sure she will be fine. And she will miss you for sure, but 4 days is not really a very long time at all.
