        Hello,

I was wondering if anybody has a specific website they go to for salt blocks? My bunnies like to lick the crap out of their salt blocks and now they have all gone missing. I can’t find any salt blocks on the binkybunny store.. so I’d appreciate it if anybody can tell me where i can order some good chunky, big salt blocks, not those small ones from KAYTEE rabbit hay brand.

        Thank you!

I don’t know, and I’m not sure you’ll find much in the way of recommendations. They don’t need the salt blocks and I’ve never used them. I’ve only ever seen the small ones in pet stores. I think they also sell them for horses, maybe you’d find larger ones at an online horse supply store?

Bunnies really don’t need extra sources of salt; to the best of my knowledge they get whatever salt they need from their usual diet. That being said, you could check (if you’re in the United States) either the Southern States or Tractor Supply Co. feed store chains. Both stores sell good ranges of products for horses, and also a lot of stuff for rabbits and other small animals; they’re a good place to get hay cheaper than pet stores.

Oh really? I didn’t know rabbits didn’t need their salt blocks… The breeder I got them from gave me two complimentary salt blocks as well as bunch of rabbit toys, so I assumed that they need salt blocks haha silly me. I should’ve done more research haha…. Thank you guys for letting me know!!

Rabbits don’t need, and unless bored and curious, will not use salt or mineral blocks. They get all the minerals they require from their food.
So don’t even worry about it.
