Hey everyone, my holland lop rabbit is almost 6 years old and his eye rim has been pretty red compared to my other rabbits. His left eye had fluid coming out and stopped after I used saline eye drops. But the redness doesnt seem to get better. I kept giving him the eye drops regularly. What could this be? Thank you!

It could be an irritant in his eye which is causing it. Wick normally has red-eye-rim because his large Nethie eyes attract dust, so he and I clean his eye boogers. It was also very red when he had his URI and his eye boogers were worse during.

Not to be very scary, but only because someone recently posted about elongated molar roots and I did some digging, some dental problems can actually cause fluid in the eyes, because a tooth or bone is pressing against the back of the eye.

How is he behavior wise, in comparison to his usual?

Hey, thanks for replying to my question. He’s actually acting like his normal self. But only recently he’s been drinking more water and peeing outside of his litter box. He use to take like 2 days to drink a bottle. But it now takes half a day to drink half a bottle. Like literally right now I can hear him drinking water. Is that related? Is it concerning or just normal?
