Is this something I should be concerned about?

I know rabbit teeth never stop growing but I’ve bought her wood chew toys and she never cared for them. Is eating hay enough for rabbits? If not how can I encourage her to use chew toys?

Many rabbits aren’t into chew toys. The only ones mine like are things they aren’t supposed to have access to!

24/7 access to hay should be plenty and if you are ever concerned you can always take your bun to a vet to have teeth checked there.

Hay is a lot more important than chew toys. Hay is what keeps the teeth in shape. Not all buns are interested in toys of any kind.

I’ve bought Panda and Fernando several toys but the only one they were really interested in was a willow ball with a couple of small wooden noise-maker balls inside it that they chewed to bits literally overnight. They also have a sisal ball and a natural-fiber chew carrot but I can’t say they’ve ever been particularly excited about either. What they are interested in is hay, and lots of it.

I’m glad that’s the case, thanks for the feedback.

Have your rabbits been giving ideas to my Peanut?

Try hay twists or things like that. I just gave my boys each one from the BB store. They both ate the entire thing in like 10 minutes. Pretty quick toy but they don’t enjoy any wood things either.

That’s the only chew she likes, any grass or hay woven ones. I gave her one yesterday and she mauled it like a puppy.
