        Hello!

I’ve had Molly (my sweet little bun) for almost 2 weeks now! I have noticed that every once in a while she lets out a loud sniff/blow of air out her nose. I’ve heard it the most when she’s just laying down, completely relaxed. Sometimes she’ll do it after running around for a bit but tonight she’s done it 3 times while just laying down after her dinner.

The noise is just a little puff of air. Has anyone ever heard their bunny do this before?

Her behavior has otherwise been completely normal…she’s running, eating, pooping, and causing mischief just like a normal 6 month old bun! I’m going to the vet tomorrow just to get her set-up with a good vet since she’s new to the family but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

        Thanks!

For Wick a purposeful huff from the nostrils is him saying I don’t/didn’t like that. Most common after I harass him…. Hehe. It also occurs though when he’s relaxing and settling down.

          So… Normal!

I’ve gotten that from Sassy, too.

Is she trying to clear her nose, perhaps? I tell Marley “bless you” when he does this because it sounds like a sneeze to me, and it’s almost always followed by licking his paws and cleaning his mouth.

Carmela does it all the time, I had the vet check it out before I bonded her to Tony in case it was an URI or something but it’s fine. She’s just huffy…
