Hey there! I’m a very new bunny mummy and I’m always worried my little girl isn’t happy. She runs around the house like a mad thing, she’s always bouncing around or “binkying”. When she lays down she will have her back legs out and front feet poking out a little. Is that a sign of comfort? Also another thing she does which I’m unsure what it means is when I lay on the ground she will always come over and lick my face. If I let her she will groom my face for ages! And last thing she rubs her chin on everything in sight! She’s starting to do it to me now all the time too. Does that mean she is bonding with me?

Everything you’ve described is the sign of a very happy bunny! Especially the licking and all the binkies! The chinning is a hormonal thing. She’s probably sexually maturing right now. Chinning is their way of saying something is there’s.

Yay! I’m happy she’s happy! She sometimes will stand on her feed with her front feed up and just stare for a long time. It makes me wonder what she’s doing lol she’s only 10-11 weeks old so I hope she’s not overlyhormonal that seems so young. One other thing. She itches her ears all the time, I have had a really good look in both and can’t see any redness and there’s no sign of ear mites that I can see. Should I take her to the vet or is itching ears a lot abnormal thing for young bunnies? Thankyou in advance!!

Both of my boys scratch their ears a lot and neither one have mites. Bombur was very hormonal starting at 7.5 weeks and Asriel didn’t get the hormonal surge until 10 weeks. Every bun is different but 12 weeks is normal with some early and some later. She could just be starting it.
