  They are living apart right now but close. They sniff each other and have touched when Domino fit herself through bars and i caught her. The plan is to put them together beginning of September. Sammie is gaga. He will chase Domino back and forth. Hop on her hutch and back down. Look for her when shes not there. Lay by her.
  
  Ive never bonded any bunnies so i hope it continues to go well.

  Just be aware that bunnies can mate through bars so make absolutely sure they can’t touch one another. They can be very determined lol.

  Her area is raised up a bit and hes on the floor in the Xpen so hed have to move something over and stand on it.

  Rabbits can also ejaculate pretty far. Its recommended to keep rabbits atleast 10 inches apart to avoid breeding through bars.

  Whoa, that I didn’t know either! I suppose if the doe was holding herself in the right position in the right place, but the buck would have to have really good aim…but then, stranger things have happened. Makes me glad (again) that my new buns are “pre-fixed”!

  Well, far for a bun Id say LOL A couple of inches, depending on the bun. I would assume the bunnys body size might factor in as well (bigger buns shoot farther?). Im not finding exact numbers when I google it, but I see a few posts where male and female buns are stationed 4 to 5 inches apart and the female has become pregnant even though they cannot reach

  More sniffing, licking, and some “nibbles” at her fur. Today he climbed on her hutch and tried to nibble her ears.
  
  Otherwise Sammie chases her back and forth and she ignores him. Sometimes they will look for each other. When they finally are in the same place at the same time, then Sam is like ” HEY, LOOK AT ME!!!!!”.

  Quite a mix of animals and kids there. Sounds great !!
  
  It would be good (and necessary) in this prebonding stage to swap them around in their living spaces, so Sammie in the hutch and Domino in the xpen. Do this every day or 2days at the most so they toootally get used to each others smells and one doesnt get anything different than the other.
  
  You may have extra peeing and territory marking at this stage, but that’s normal.
