This afternoon Fig had a second date with this lovely lady and we finalized her adoption! The WHRS society likes to do the second date in the home which worked wonderfully because it gave us a good idea for how this will go. Her foster mom accidentally left her file at home (she’ll be emailing it to me) but thinks that she was found as a stray. She was then at a very small rescue that was well intentioned but didn’t normally deal with rabbits and kept them outside. They named her “BBB” short for Brown Bunny *not nice word*. I am told that she has some cage aggression but it wasn’t enough for the WHRS to recommend that she be placed in a home without children. She’s been called “BB” at WHRS but I’m going to change her name. I’m open to suggestions if anyone has them! More pics to come!

What about “Bee” standing for Beat Everyone’s Expectations – since she was called not nice name before. In your loving home I’m sure her true self will emerge

Awww, she looks lovely! What a cute face!

What about Beatrix? If you want to stick with the B, and it could be after Beatrix Potter

Or you could name her Pudding if you want her to go with Fig

                    How about Honey or Brie?

                    Simple, but great with Fig(s)

I also like the name Frida for her (after Frida Kahlo)

                    Or just.. Lily

Oh, she’s lovely! Love those big brown eyes. Congratulations! I’m happy she’s found a home with someone who understands rabbits.

Loving the names people have come up with. But guys, Fig is short for Figment!! But I have to say, I do love the food theme names. Some of my buns have been named after sweet things.

My only suggestions are so far are:

                      Imogen

                      Gemma (hidden gem)

Breya (I *think* pronounced BREE-YAH) Irish name meaning “pure and spirited”.

Oh as in figment of your imagination???
What about mirage then? Call her Miri for short …
                        Dream
                        Chimera – chim or era
                        Illusion – illy
                        Hallucinations – halli for short

I’m loving these names, seriously, thanks guys! I’m trying them on her to see which one fits. Breya, Chimera, Brie and Bee really stand out to me. I’m also considering Honeybee. She’s already getting a little better on the aggression, she definitely has a particular way she likes her space to be.

DanaNM: I call Fig Figgy Pudding a lot! She does kind of look like a Pudding to me.

What about Brieya ? Same pronounciation as Breya ( bree yah ) but kind of a mix of Brie , bee and breya

Figment and Brieya – fig and Brie for short ?
