I know a bunny sometimes eats these, Olly passed one the other day, he doesn’t pass them very often, but I saw it, it was a normal colour, I don’t know if I did the right thing but I put gloves on and examined it to make sure it wasn’t mixed with any runny poop and put it in Olly’s fresh litter tray just in case he needed it, about an hour later I noticed it had gone and there was a wet patch where he did a tinkle, obviously he had eaten it, is it OK to transfer these into a fresh tray if they look healthy for if he wants to eat them later?

I know if they are not healthy to take Olly and the Cecotrope to a vet.

Rabbits are generally good with revisiting ones they plan to eat later. If I’m cleaning a box and find one that’s dry, I assume Wick didn’t want it and it gets dumped. Even if it’s mixed with regular poop, rabbits can eat it all and spit out the regular poop easily. Wick does that all the time when he goes to eat and makes a mess.

You can relocate it if you’d like, but usually they eat it directly from the hole, so if it is outside, he probably didn’t feel like he needed it so he was fine with letting it go.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. It’s good he did, but don’t feel pressured to move it for him!

If I find the odd cecal, I’ll offer it directly to bun and if he or she doesn’t want it I just put it in the bin. I don’t put it in the litter tray purely because I don’t want them squashing it into their fur.
