        After Stargazers fight, the vet gave him antibiotics. Now the outline of his blue eyes are bright red. Could this be because of the antibiotics? It wasn’t like this before… I’ll try to get pictures in a few minutes.

            Hmm… it’s not a connection I’ve come across before. Has he exhibited any signs of unusual itchiness? Chewie’s eye rims look like that after he’s groomed (from rubbing his eyes) but then they subside. If you see no other worrying signs, I’d wait it out since his eye looks clean and clear, not inflamed. It could just be something like a slight increase in circulation from stress or the meds or something…

              It doesn’t look horrible. I know some antibiotics can cause flushing. I guess you might be able to call this that? I don’t know what flushing looks like in a rabbit.

                Q8 – That’s true. Stress and getting all worked up can cause increase blood flow (flushing) as well.
