  So as you may know, Theodore got neutered earlier this month and it got infected.. Been treating that and he has a cone on.
  
  Just today I noticed this red spot/irritation near his nose.. any idea what it could be? I hope it’s not ringworm or scabies
  
  I’m going to monitor it and if it gets bigger will contact the vet. Seeing him in a week anyway, but concerned about this.

  Hard to say, but I would just keep an eye on it for now. That’s good that you have an apt with the vet soon. Try not to worry

  It looks more like an injury to me. But if it’s parasitical, that’s easily treatable – often with a spot treatment on tne scruff of the neck.

  Thanks guys! I think he may have scratched his nose with his back leg.. hopefully just a scratch.. but I have some Revolution for puppies/kittens, should I use it as a preventative in case? I didn’t use it right away because of his neuter infection, worried it would inflame his skin down there or something.

  It should be fine to use, but wait and see how the nose progresses first. No sense wasting it if it’s only a booboo

  Agree with Q8, it doesn’t look like any typical parasite infestation, so I’d save the Revolution and just watch this for now.

  Thanks.. yeah, I’ll save the Revolution and see what the vet says next week if it hasn’t healed… it doesn’t look any worse today thankfully.
