I’ve ordered a pen but has not yet arrived. It does not have a floor. I have carpet in my room and I’m wondering what I can put underneath (like the floor or the pen) the pen so if he pees it won’t go through to my carpet.

I have about 6 layers of pee pads, a blanket, and hay mats underneath my bunny’s cage. Maybe you could try to find a large piece of plastic to go underneath and layer up on other things to avoid it getting on the carpet, I have hard wood. You can try to get him litter trained but I have one rabbit who basically refuses so I understand that can be hard. The only time he’ll pee in the box is when he’s on hard flooring.
I have also heard of people using linoleum flooring and using something softer on top of that so the buns won’t slip. Hope this helps!

When I had carpet in my bunny room, I used large pieces of vinyl floor. I got end pieces cheap at a flooring store. Super easy to clean. Just make sure that the piece of flooring is long enough that the end pieces are well away from the edge of the cage. If your bun is able to grab at the ends, it will very likely get chewed up. Some nice cozy things like soft kennel mats or memory foam mats should be added as well to prevent sore hocks. Just watch for any chewing of the fabric.

A few pieces of bathroom tile are also cheap and great for hot days
