Hi so i just got Sherwood adult food for my rabbits who are about 9 weeks old, I had to eat Sherwood adult food because their past owner only fed Timothy pellets (adult food) and the brand that they are on now isn’t the best it’s Nutrena I believe it’s for show rabbits..Anyway do you think that it would be okay to transition them if I did it extra slowly

U don’t have to feed them adult food just because that’s what they are fed before. Sherwood makes baby rabbit pellets. U could transition to those, hold onto the adult pellets, and transition to them after the bunnies r 12 weeks.

But what’s the point of buying baby food when they are 9 weeks old I don’t want to stress them out and change what they are use to I mine as well wait and just use the nutrena for 3 weeks if that’s the case right?

What percent protein is in their current food? That’s what I would do, but there isn’t a strict right or wrong. You just want babies to get 15 percent protein, and taper it down to somewhere around 12% for adults. You could also keep them on their current pelets and add alfalfa hay. That would increase the protein.
