Not sure if anyone can help, but im looking for an opinion as to whether this is normal or not, ive never noticed it before, its just under his mouth, his skin is redish, and the fur around it is a similar texture to his feet, best photo I can get as he doesnt like his chin touching

Does your bunny have dental issues? Is his chin often wet? is there any scabbing or dundruff around the area.
There could be a whole range of things this could be, such as a fungal infection or parasites.
I have read that some rabbits develop a sore from drinking from bowls or excessive chinning, or even pulling out their own fur, but I do think that this is probably something that only a vet will have real answers to

He’s never had anything like that, he doesn’t drink from a bowl, no scabbing or dandruff, he does chin a lot of things but he’s a very calm bunny

?? Could he have caught it on something? Does he seem bothered by it? Keep an eye to see if it spreads or if the fur starts to grow back in a week or so…
Make sure he’s still eating and pooping (ie not stressed by it) and go and get it checked by a vet if you have any doubts….

he looks lovely – like Chester and Pippi fellow members’ bunnies

I don’t think he will have caught it on anything! He’s a house bunny, nothing sharp lying about, I’ll go and make an appointment in the morning, hopefully he’ll be ok!

Hmm, it does look odd. Is it just me or does the fur look stuck together near his mouth? To me, this looks like possible drooling.
