My friends rabbit had babies and I’m getting one. I learned yesterday that both of the parents are very big. I know the mother is a purebred chinchilla rabbit and they’re not sure about the dad but he’s pretty big. Is caring for a bigger rabbit any different than a regular sized rabbit? I’m building a cage that’s about 11×7 is so and (will also roam around my bunny proofed room when I am home) getting necessary things. I know about hay and food and veggies and toys and the general care but will anything be different because it’s bigger than a regular rabbit. Thanks.

11ft wide by 7ft across, how tall? The cage has to be tall enough that the rabbit can stand on their hind legs, but cant jump out.

The only thing different really is how much food the bun should get Remember to spay/neuter as well.

Congrats (in advance) on the new rabbit. Is it your first bunny?

Since they are friends that have the rabbits, do ask that they keep the babies with the mum until they are 8 weeks old. It will set them up for a life of better health.
