I have had a look online and cannot seem to find anything about bonding 2 boys and a girl into a trio only ever adding a girl and I need help.

My boy bun, Arthur has lost his second wife now since I got him as a baby I adopted a boy Remus (couldn’t fine another girl at the time) but he wasn’t fixed so had to wait to get him neutered. In that time a girl bunny, Clover was found and had been spayed recently when I adopted her. (now must be about 5 weeks since she was done) She and Arthur got on straight away and have been together since their first meet with only 2 small fur pulling sessions in total. Remus has now been neutered for 4 weeks and seems desperate to make pals sitting looking longingly out of his room at the other 2 through a babygate which I have between them. I tried them all together today in a pen since they all seem keen but Remus only wanted to mount Arthur loads, it escalated quite quickly and I separated them since they got very bitey. I have  bonded twice before my latest bonding with the girl/boy(this one didn’t require any work though) but not sure what to do now.

        1. Does anyone have any success with this gender of trio?

        2. Should I do one on one with the boys or all three in at once?

Clover is very submissive and just seems to let both boys dominate her which is handy, its the two boys I can see are going to be a problem. Just now the bonded pair have the run of the house so only so often go up to the room where Remus is (Clover goes up and pulls at the gate to get through more than Arthur though). Should I pen the other two in so they can only see Remus? Seems mean when they are used to the whole house.

ANY advice will be so much appreciated.

Hello Bunny_mad! The best way to do a trio is with two males and a female. I would love to get a third rabbit, but I don’t have the space. From what I have read about trios is you should bond them each with each other. Then you would move on to getting them all along. Trios are definitely more difficult than a bonded pair, as you probably know. Here is something to read that could help http://rabbitsinthehouse.org/newsletter/Clover%20Leaf%20X%20-%20final.pdf hope this is useful to you, I also recommend watching some YouTube videos.
