So my bunny was neutered on Thursday. While one side is deflated the other side is still swollen and feels hard. It is a dark purple in color. He bled a bit yesterday for almost the entire day. Went to the vet in the am, he gave him a shot. He didn’t stop bleeding till 6pm. Called the vet but because it was only a drop at a time every half an hour or so he said I shouldn’t worry. But it is still the same size and I don’t know what to do. Maybe you guys have experience with this?

Oh he is pretty much back to normal – he eats, poops, pees (although very seldomly) and behaves like a happy little bunny. Tries to jump and run around. I will keep him in his pen till monday I think. Because I have changed my sheets and I don’t want him to pee on them again lol Omg see how big his scrotum is?

            Looks like a haematoma.
Have you emailed these photos to the clinic? Or the vet saw him again when it was looking like this?

Yes he saw him like that. Sprayed the area so he won’t lick it anymore and gave him a shot. That was it Is this dangerous?

From what I understand, it’s not dangerous. Im not really familiar with them though!
I think it just takes longer for the blood to clear out of the tissue. Where as, with clear fluid swelling into the scrotal sacs will go down in a day or so.

I can’t really tell from the photo..it doesn’t look too swollen like some photos Ive seen. It’s just that it’s so dark. Were his sacs pink  before the snip, or a darker skin colour?

Ugh I honestly don’t know which color they were..I never took a look. I am giving him Arnica now as I read in another thread that it helps with the swelling.
