My bunny Finn has always been a little lazy. He prefers to relax and cuddle over playing with toys and causing trouble. What can I do to get him more active and exited about running and playing? I’ve tried various toys and even tried getting him to chase me around the back yard. Any suggestions are appreciated ?

          Treat balls!
Like “slim cat”; I put mine to the 3 hole setting and have taped 2 of 3 holes shut because both buns are way to effective at getting the kibble out. In this household a days worth of pellet ration is measured out and given throughout the day as treats. They are given in treat ball type toys and are hidden all over the place so that they have to ‘forage’ for nibbles

You can easily make a forage toy at home! Use an empty paper towel or tp roll and overlap fold the edges to close them. Pop a few pellets inside and rattle the toy to let bunny know game time is on!
…Our bunny usually only plays if food is involved

You could also try to ‘bug’ Finn by tickling his feet with a finger and get him to pounce around after your annoying hand. Best do this on a rug – traction is required for proper attacks.

OR wait until he’s on one side of the house or room and then get him to come running for a small treat. Then switch sides and get him to come running again.

Or make him a big diggy box to ‘work’ in?

I do this when mine have gurgling tummies to encourage them to run, it works wonders!

Just chiming in to say that if the weather is hot (or just warmer than usual) the bun might prefer to lounge around and do nothing, no matter what you cook up for him
