So I want to build Lancelot a wheelchair on Wednesday. I had originally thought not, because his front legs slide out sometimes. But Mikey mentioned in a thread that slide front legs could be due to poor balance from the rear leg paresis, so here goes. Iv read every page on the disabled bunny website, and am waiting to hear back from the special bunny organization. I read about different wheelchair needs like front, rear, hip, butt support, all kinds of support needs, but nothing indicating how to tell what my bunny needs. The exotic vets in my area would not b able to help me. Does anyone here have any experience/knowledge to share about wheelchairs for bunnies?

Thank you for looking into wheelchairs! I agree that not all rabbits can use wheelchairs, but they can be helpful to try out just in case Its good that you researched them too to find out that there are different kinds of wheelchairs for buns in regards to what supports they need. I will ask my vet if she has a link to bunny wheelchair information and if she does I will link it back here. Rabbit.org also has a few bunny wheelchair maker companies(Eddie’s Wheels, for example) which might be able to help out with support advice as well: http://rabbit.org/faq-disabled-rabbits/
