        Hi Bunny lovers

I will like to ask if you had seen anything like this:

Orangy stuff mixed with poop and i didnt feed my rabbit any carrots or veggies. Just pellet, hay and water.

Please advice as i am not sure if its bad for my bunny and i had checked the “Poop guide”  and found nothing

        thanks!

I have definitely never seen anything like that. Could you get us a more detailed picture of the orange stuff? Plus a description of consistency, smell, texture. Could it be peed-on bedding/litter? How is your bunny doing? (Appetite, energy level etc).

Hi Bam here is the close up of the orange stuff

i think this is the closest i can get though

he is eating fine and his behavior is okay. as per normal

pee-ed on bedding is the brown, grey and white stuff u see in the picture. but the orange one is strange

Really, really strange! As long as he’s eating, drinking, peeing, pooping and acting normal, it seems like sth you’ll just have to keep observing to find out the origin of. I’d remove the stuff and see if more emerges. Bunnies can’t vomit so it’s not vomit. If it came out his rear end, I’d expect marked symptoms of illness.

At first, I thought maybe some bladder sludge bit the bright colour doesn’t really fit with that. And there doesn’t appear to be any residue on the wire like you might get with sludge.
It would be powdery or like wet clay when you clear it away.

I think it might be some sort of fungus! Conditions in a litter box are just right for fungal growth and it doesn’t take long. If you still have some, do you think it looks like mold/fungus?

ETA: is the white litter silica gel crystal or is that in the padding under the litter. I cannot tell properly. It looks like there is a puppy pee pad lining the box, then maybe some absorbent pad also?

Fungus is the only thing I can think of.

Wow, reminds me of a nightmare I had once. The litterbox kept filling up with orange stuff just like that. LOL

Hmm, what’s the litter you’re using? Maybe it has spores in it.

I just cleared it up couple of days back and now the orangy stuff’s gone. But i gonna observe it.
The blue silica thing is a puppy pee pad and above it is litter and brown litter is a special litter where it doesn’t smell when peed on. I clear its litter every 3 to 4 days
