hey there again. I was wondering what you guys put in your bunnies salad. I have a general idea of what I want to put in it if I can get a rabbit but I was wondering what you guys use. I want some more ideas. also is cilantro safe for bunnies? I’ve seen people use it but I don’t know for sure. I also don’t trust the internet like Wikipedia’s

My bunnies are not currently having veggies due to tummy troubles but prior to this they were having roughly 8 different greens per day, from the following: spring greens, pak choy, romaine lettuce, rocket, watercress, coriander (cilantro), rosemary, thyme, dill, flat leaf parsley, Chinese leaf lettuce, chicory, curly kale and mint.

I give my rabbit grape leaves, carrot tops, dandelions, a handful of rose petals and I let him out to run and eat grasses in the yard

^ This is a great resource to see what’s okay for your rabbit! You can experiment and see what your rabbit likes best and how your rabbit reacts to them. For example, Wick likes mint in small quantities (will leave leftovers) and loves basil and cilantro. He’s not a fan of arugula or dandelion greens, and he’s not allowed to have parsley because it made him pee soooooo much my goodness. His salad’s foundation and default is good ol’ romaine lettuce. I will chop up half a strawberry or grape and sprinkle it on top occasionally for variety too. You can also spice up your rabbits hay by using multiple types, like timothy, orchard, and oat (Wick’s mixture at the moment).

I give my bunny about six different types of veggies a day
                  Celery leaves
                  Carrot tops
                  Cilantro
                  Kale
                  Romain lettuce
Cauliflower (not too much though it makes her gassy)
                  Hope this helps!

I keep reading your title and thinking of the bunny being in the salad. As in, place lettuce and carrot in a bowl. Top with live rabbit. No need to stir, the rabbit will do it for you. I think I need to try this if I can find a big old bowl!

Otherwise I feed going by the guide that Wick linked. I try to go for whatever leafy greens are in season as they will be the cheapest, but I make sure to follow the guide. Both of mine are obsessed with banana so that tends to be their fruit source each day.

don’t forget to garnish with a sprinkling of your favourite herbs!

Of course! A small amount of fruit would also be acceptable. Or a few hundred bananas if my rabbits have any say in it!!
