I only just noticed it last night, she’s eating, drinking and running round as normal but her eyes are flickering/twitching and her head its slightly twitching as well, if anyone can help I’d really appreciate it as I’m freaking out  If I can I can try and get a video of it so you know what I’m seeing, let me know

We’d very much like a video. If you have trouble uploading it here, upload to an external source like Google Drive or Flickr etc.

To me flickering/twitching eyes sounds like nystagmus. It’s due to sth that affects the balance organs in the rabbits head. (or anybody’s head). the two most common reasons for nystagmus in a bun is e cuniculi or an ear infection. E cuniculi is a parasite that can attack the rabbit’s brain. An ear infection can influence the balance organs because they are located in the inner ear.

I’ll try my best to get a video, it’s hard to capture because she’s moving so much but I’ll try and get one up soon! Oh god that doesn’t sound good, I’m hoping if it’s anything it’s the ear infection rather than the e cuniculi

E cuniculi is treatable if caught early. treatment is Panacur (fenbendazole) for about 6 weeks. Sometimes together with baytril and Metacam. But the fact that she’s running around a lot is not consistent with e cuniculi (or a bad ear infection, for that matter).

That’s good that it’s treatable if caught early, whatever it is I think I’ve hopefully noticed it early, It’s weird she’s just like her normal self except with a tic (eye/head twitching), are their any other symptoms I should be watching out for do you think?

Update: She’s actually much better now, don’t really know what was going on with her earlier but glad she’s not twitching anymore
