Hi! First post on here. I have 2 bunnies, Poppy and Puppy. They’re Lionhead half sister’s, born 3 days apart, and are now 2 years old. Lately I have noticed Poppy consistently has enough ear wax to where the two holes in her ears have to be completely filled. Withing the past few days, Puppy has developed the same issue. I can positively say this is not ear mites, just so you know. My mom’s bunnies live with her in Georgia and have issues every once and a while with them. Any input would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

Earwax is produced to protect the ear, in normal circumstances none should be evident. There are a few situations where an animal produces excessive earwax for unidentified reasons, but I’d recommend taking them both to the vet as this could very well be that they both have ear infections of some description.

Ear infection could be a cause.
