        Hi everyone.

I found myself drawn to the topics here more and more over the years so I decided to join the forums (finally).

I have three buns, all are rescues of some fashion. My bonded pair have a room of their own (I do not cage my buns) with a cool fort my daughter and I built for them this past spring. My boy is an English Spot ~3.5 years old (they deemed him 6 months old when we took him in for neuter), and is the sweetest bun you can have. He was found alone outside one winter. Attempts to locate his owners failed, so we kept him. We knew nothing about buns at the time and have learned a LOT since then. One major thing we learned was about bonding and the need for bunny companions so we set out to find him a buddy.

The first one we tried to adopt did not work out (I think the family ended up keeping it). The second was one of a litter we did adopt at probably too young of an age (5 weeks). She is thriving, though, and nearly a year old now, we know her birthday within a few days. We bonded the baby and my older bun successfully despite advice against bonding a baby and an adult. The only caveat was that she never really bonded well with us so she is a bit stroppy. I am currently attempting to condition her to where I can trim her nails. We are on day two of slow proximations. She hates to be held and tolerates being pet (sometimes) so this will be a long road to where I can hold her and trim the nails.

Our newest baby is still separated from them and will be for some time. She had pinworms and we have just finished course one of meds. She was very sick and nearly died. I am thankful to have a great bunny vet in my area. My daughter and I stayed up all night with her syringe feeding her critical care which saved her life. We will get her rechecked this coming week. She is being kept in a bun-proof bathroom at the moment and has lots of couch lap time! I am making a plan for bonding our third bun with my bonded pair. I am very patient. The new little girl is maybe 3 months old. We have no idea of her birthdate but I do not think she is as old as they claimed nor the breed they claimed. She is white with a broken brown pattern and seems a lot like our English Spot so far but she is very tiny (about 1.5 pounds). We named her Butterscotch (because of her color) but call her Puddin.

We have had cats, dogs, hamsters, and birds but I have never fallen for an animal like my buns.

A bit about me, I suppose: I am a middle aged wife and a mom of three adult children, one still at home. I am currently attending college rather than working so I have a lot of time for my buns. I just ordered a floor-chair I can use to help me do some of my reading while still being with my very spoiled buns.

I will probably do more reading than posting.
